Season three of the hit BBC show The Traitors has tongues wagging and the internet buzzing with its blend of intrigue, subterfuge and social manipulation. But once again it’s Claudia Winkleman’s outfits that have caught our attention - arguably, just as much as the competition! Her blend of gothic glamour, wellies, trench coats and tweeds has inspired women up and down the country to inject the same trends into their wardrobe and at Etton Taylor, we’re here to help. If you’d like to shop Claudia’s style, this blog will be right up your street. We’re sharing our top picks from the current Etton Taylor collection that would fit right into Claudia’s work wardrobe right now - and we hope you love them as much as we do.
Look one: Ruffles under tailored jackets
One of the most iconic looks from this season of the Traitors is Claudia layering a ruffled blouse under a tailored blazer, and we can help you on both counts! Our ruffled blouses, including the best-selling Rockingham with those all-important ruffled cuffs, will help you carry out this look. You can combine them with our Olivia Harris Tweed Jacket (which is on sale now and available in two colours) or the Jessica double-breasted blazer to create an ensemble that will take you all the way through to spring in style - just add a fur-trimmed wrap on colder mornings.
Look two: Statement knits
Statement knits are a big part of Claudia’s look for Traitors filming, and we can understand why - they are warm enough for filming at Ardross Castle, north of Inverness in Scotland, and are definitely on trend this winter. We think the Zara Jacket and Chelsea Jacket both tick the right style boxes with statement buttons and elegant details, plus they are both on sale at the moment! We love the moody glamour of Claudia’s oversized knits in khaki greens and olives, and we have just the jumper for you to pull it off too. Our new Lucy Jumper (which is available in orange and stone as well as khaki) will be just the ticket for Traitor’s-worthy style.
Look three: Cosy yet elegant capes!
Capes in luxurious wool are just the ticket if you hate the cold in wintertime (or find yourself in a highland castle for a week or two…!). Our Karen Wool and Cashmere Cape is a gorgeous light dove grey with a black trim and fur collar, and it’s currently half price in the sale. Pair it with a soft sweater, a tweed skirt and some warm leather boots and you’ll be perfectly dressed for winter!
Look four: longline tailoring and layering
Another key look in Traitors is longline tailored coats and jackets which are cleverly layered with different fabric colours and textures for a head turning and warm winter look. We have both tailored and looser longline options in tweeds and knitted materials, for example our Annabel Lovat Herringbone Tweed Coat and the Catena Coatigan. The NEW Lydia Fur Wrap is the perfect choice to add a truly glamorous top later when the winter wind bites - and the luxurious fur is just perfect for Scottish castles, country pubs, January race days and so much more!
