With now passed, we wanted to use our final blog of the year to take a look back at 2025 and to say thank you for your support. It’s a chance to reflect on a transformative year for Etton Taylor (and, of course, for Faye) and share a little of what we’re looking forward to in 2026.

Early in the spring, Faye took the reins of Etton Taylor from founder Jo, and straight away started building on the wonderful foundations she had created. Faye has brought her own fashion-forward twist, introduced new collections and refreshed the brand in her style.

Over the months since, you’ll have seen new styles land, familiar favourites reimagined and collections curated with our brand mission in mind. Faye was determined that Etton Taylor would be a go-to for women looking for clothes designed to be worn, styled and enjoyed in real life - and get compliments from people asking, ‘I LOVE that - where is that from?!’.

A year full of events

One of the real highlights of 2025 has been getting out and meeting so many of you in person.

From an in-person shopping event hosted at Faye’s home and our debut at Belsay International Horse Trials, to a fabulous Christmas shopping fair at Alnwick Castle, the year has been full of opportunities to connect. There’s nothing better than helping people try on and style outfits together and see how the collections land in person.

Sponsoring Femme Country Magazine’s Country Muse Runway this autumn was another standout moment in 2025. Seeing the models dressed in Etton Taylor and watching the pieces come together on the runway was a wonderful reminder of how adaptable the collection is! Each look was styled differently, and we’ve been thrilled to share images from the show to help inspire our followers and customers.

The reality of running a small business

While the events and collections are the visible side of Etton Taylor, there is a great deal that happens quietly behind the scenes - and it’s not always fun or Insta-worthy!

There’s so much time spent getting ready to take putting Etton Taylor on the road - sourcing new styles and collections, packing boxes, putting up the stand, manning it and chatting to customers and then packing it all down at the end of the day. There’s also balancing creativity with the practical realities of running a small independent business. Like many small brands, margins are tight, decisions matter and long days don’t always come with financial certainty. There is also the challenge of competing with much larger businesses with far bigger marketing budgets and navigating the sometimes-fickle world of social media - one post will reach thousands of people, another one just a few hundred! These challenges aren’t unique to Etton Taylor, but they are part of our story - and why we urge our followers to support small businesses wherever they can.

Why we do what we do

Despite the pressure and occasional headaches, there is so much to love about what we do. Our customers are the heart of Etton Taylor and we’re so lucky to have you! Helping women find pieces that make them feel confident, comfortable and stylish means the world to us and there is a lot of joy in browsing and choosing clothes and exploring trends. We’ve also loved meeting other small business owners along the way at events, shows and pop-ups - every time it’s a great reminder of just how supportive and inspiring this community can be.

Looking ahead to 2026

As we plan for 2026, our focus remains firmly on serving you as well as we possibly can. That means continuing to improve the online shopping experience, hosting more online shopping events and creating opportunities to shop in person. We’re also excited about exploring more of our own designs, pieces that reflect Etton Taylor’s style and values and developing collaborations with other brands.

Most importantly, it means listening to what you love, what you wear most and how Etton Taylor fits into your everyday life! So, thank you for being part of 2025 with us - your support means more than you know, and we’re very much looking forward to what’s ahead.
